Radiofrequency denervation

Radiofrequency denervation (RFD) is a minimally invasive treatment for neck or back pain caused by chronic arthritis.

Using a fluoroscopy to guide a needle to the nerve causing pain, Dr. Panchal will then inject a local anesthetic to numb the nerve. The nerve is then intentionally damaged with heat, stopping it from sending pain signals to the brain.

This outpatient procedure is a simple way to reduce pain in the neck and back, and patients recover quickly.
